This document describes
config/texts.txt, a file which you can use to highlight chat messages.
This document applies to Outgun 1.0, starting from version 1.0.2.
texts.txt hasn’t been used by any previous versions.
You don’t need
texts.txt in normal operation; it’s useful to catch the messages that contain a particular string, for example your name.
The format Outgun 1.0 understands is very simple. Every non-empty line that is not a comment (those start with a semicolon, ‘;’), is simply a string. If the string is found in any chat message, the message is highlighted (white). The strings are case-insensitive. For example:
lag laag camp F8 aff
texts.txt is only loaded when Outgun starts.
